Foundation Reggae Superstar Papa Michigan is at it again, and drops a single “Mine Ya Bleaching” on the Blue Sky album for Rashanco Music.
Included with Papa Michigan are Various Artists on the Blue Sky album featuring Tenor Saw, Tarrus Riley, Pinchers, Press Kay Feat. Tanya Stephens and other well-known Artists.
When asked why this title, Michigan’s response is, “if you wanna bleach, be careful how you do your bleaching, watch the tone whey yuh try reaching. It’s a great way to bring awareness of the dangers that bleaching the skin can have on your health.”
The mood of the song is definitely a Roots Rock Reggae flavor you can vibe with. “Mine Ya Bleaching” was recorded in Jamaica four years ago, and the song is still relevant today like the many other #1 songs that Michigan has sung over the years. This riddim was made in the 80s, recorded on a four track tape, and recently transferred to digital on the Blue Sky Album.
Rashanco Music and Papa Michigan Publishing is poised to release its long-awaited catalogue which is way past due
