FROM MY HEART TO YOUR HEART: MAD ELAINE’S CONTEMPORARY ROOTS ODYSSEY
Forged in the storied studios of Kingston, Jamaica, and bearing the fingerprints of reggae royalty, Mad Elaine’s From My Heart To Your Heart is a deeply rooted album born in the daily rhythms of reggae’s homeland.
Italian artist Mad Elaine developed From My Heart To Your Heart (Jah Wheel Records) during her years in Jamaica. Performing her own lyrics alongside an exceptional cast of musicians and producers, the album unfolds a carefully constructed narrative. Verses rich in conscious messages take us on a transformative journey through personal and collective reflection, awareness and, importantly, liberation.
Recorded at the legendary Tuff Gong and Taxi studios in Kingston, the album has been released on digital platforms with a vinyl drop expected to follow in September. Drawing on a tradition of roots music, its lineage is audible in every track.
ITS LINEAGE IS AUDIBLE IN EVERY TRACK
The collaborations are extraordinary. Max Romeo, Cedric Myton, Linval Thompson, Queen Ifrica, and Luciano co-wrote the lyrics with Mad Elaine. Together, they bring the full weight of their experience and cultural authority to a project rooted in shared life in Jamaica.
“I was able to produce this album with those who today are part of the great culture of reggae,” she says, “and to share life experiences and valuable reflections with all these incredible artists.”
The second half opens into dub territory. Jordan Armond, Mad Professor, Joe Ariwa, and Jallanzo The Dub Wizard each bring their craft to bear. As a result, their touch adds a deeper and more experimental dimension to the project.
Ultimately, From My Heart To Your Heart earns its title. With mastering handled at Anchor Studio in Kingston, every stage of the project stayed rooted in Jamaica. The result is an authentic and complete work, offered with full sincerity from one heart to another.

ABOUT MAD ELAINE
With over 35 years at the heart of reggae culture, Mad Elaine cut her teeth in the UK dub sound system scene. There, she collaborated with Mad Professor before taking her music across Latin America, the Caribbean, and beyond. A multitalented singer-songwriter, producer and journalist, she also runs her own label, Jah Wheel Records.
