MELLOW MOOD AND PONTO DE EQUILÍBRIO FIND HARMONY IN VIDA E AMOR
When Mellow Mood first saw Ponto de Equilíbrio perform at Rototom Sunsplash nearly twenty years ago, the Italian duo felt an instant spark. The Brazilians’ roots-driven energy and spiritual depth left a mark that never faded. Now, that long admiration has come full circle with Vida e Amor, a radiant collaboration that joins two of reggae’s most soulful voices across continents.
The track previews 7 – Deluxe Edition, a revitalised take on Mellow Mood’s 2018 album, enriched with three previously unreleased songs born from global partnerships.
Produced by the band, mixed by Paolo Baldini DubFiles in Italy, and mastered by Nick Manasseh in London, Vida e Amor blends reggae and funk. English and Portuguese verses flow vivaciously throughout the track.
VIDA E AMOR REFLECTS A PROFOUND BELIEF: LIFE IS LOVE AND LOVE EXPRESSES THE DIVINE
What began as a shared moment of inspiration has evolved into a song about unity, life and love. Garzia, the band’s main songwriter, says Vida e Amor reflects a simple yet profound belief: life itself is love, and love expresses the divine.
As Mellow Mood prepare for the release of 7 – Deluxe Edition, this track stands as a bridge and a beacon. It connects past inspiration with fresh creative horizons.
